Nancy Schulz is a wife, mother, business woman, and family nurse practitioner. She and her husband, Dick, own and manage The Oaks Course and are proud parents of Alexandria and Richard, products of the Newton County School System. In 2013, they welcomed Kelsey Lynn O'Leary into the Schulz family as the wife of their son Richard. In July 2019, they were blessed with an amazing bundle of joy--grandchild Emerson James Schulz.
Nancy's experience in a variety of settings gives her a diverse perspective on the definition of community. Since moving to Newton County in 1992, she has been an active community servant. Many of our local youth and parents will recognize her from her involvement in Fairview Elementary, Cousins Middle and Newton High School. Nancy has also served in numerous leadership roles such as YMCA Board Chair, Newton County Chamber Board member, Agnes Scott College Parent Council Chair and on the Advisory Board for the Newton County Boys and Girls Club.
Nancy Schulz is a graduate of the University of Tennessee and received her Master's Degree from Vanderbilt University. In addition to her duties as the comptroller for The Oaks Course, she is a Family Nurse Practitioner and worked in public health for over 30 years in Newton, Dekalb and Cobb Counties.
Nancy is no stranger to public service. She is particularly passionate about addressing Economic Development. Her work on the Chamber Board shaped her view that not only do we all need a good job we need one close to home. Nancy uses her leadership skills along with experience in managing a business and 30 plus years of caring for people to serve her community.
